Planet Comicon has acquired three (3) pairs of tickets to Kevin Smith’s event at The Midland on May 17th as part of his cross-country tour for Jay & Silent Bob’s Super Groovy Cartoon Movie!
This Saturday (4/20), we’ll be giving you a chance to win them. Here’s how:
- At an undisclosed time on Saturday, we’ll be putting up a post on this website (planetcomicon.com) announcing that the contest has started.
- At that time, you’ll need to comment on the post, providing us with both YOUR NAME as well as YOUR FAVORITE KEVIN SMITH MOVIE. That’s it. NAME and MOVIE TITLE.
- The winners will be those individuals whose posts come in at number 37, number 74, and number 111.
- Each of the three winners will receive a pair of tickets.
Here are the rules:
- Unlimited entries.
- All duplicate entries must contain all required information and originate from the same IP address.
- No duplicate prize winners.
- You must be able to pick up the tickets at Elite Comics before the show on May 17th. We’ll contact you directly to arrange a time.

ATTENTION ALL ADVANCE TICKET HOLDERS, PRESS, AND ARTIST ALLEY PARTICIPANTS:
In an effort to give attendees another option for early will call, we are adding one more opportunity.
On Wednesday, April 3rd, you will be able to pick up your admissions at Elite Comics from 12PM to 7PM. All the same rules apply from our post regarding will call on Friday.

All tickets must be held in your name.

You must bring the physical ticket to exchange.

We will NOT be selling tickets at this time. All tickets will be available for sale at the event starting at 8:30AM on Saturday, April 6th. Tickets will NOT sell out unless Nathan Fillion makes an unscheduled appearance.

Advance ticket purchasers (both on-line and physical, weekend or single-day) will be able to claim their admissions on Friday, April 5th, from 2PM to 8PM at Bartle Hall.
The entrance will be the same as the rest of the weekend, through the 2200 Lobby, which is located on 13th Street between Central and Broadway. Enter through the doors on the SOUTH side of the street and proceed down the long hallway to the 2300 Lobby. Take the escalators leading to Hall D in order to locate the Friday will call.
Here’s what you’ll need in order to pick up:
Personal ID (You will need to be the person who purchased the tickets. No exceptions will be made to this rule. Sorry.)
E-mail confirmation of purchase (If available; for purchasers of on-line tickets only.)
Ticket or tickets (For purchasers of physical tickets only.)
We’re expecting record attendance this year, and we’re taking any and all steps to ensure that Saturday’s entry to the show will be as quick and painless as possible for all attendees, whether you’ve already purchased tickets or are buying them at the door. By having advance ticket holders pick up on Friday, we’re hoping to eliminate a large chunk of traffic on Saturday morning. We hope you agree that this would be beneficial to all involved.
To that end, here’s some additional incentive. Every person who picks up their advance tickets on Friday will also receive BOTH Planet Comicon exclusive covers (pictured below) from Planet Comicons past, a $20 value, for FREE. (While supplies last.)
As in years past, we also intend to allow all advance ticket holders 30 minute advance entry to the show on Saturday (assuming the room is fully ready and we have the ability to do so).

The following is presented in an effort to simplify the ticketing process. If you have purchased or intend to purchase advance tickets to Planet Comicon 2013, please read carefully.
IF YOU HAVE PURCHASED ADVANCE TICKETS ONLINE:
You WILL NOT be sent physical tickets. Your print-out of said purchase does not qualify as a ticket. You will need to pick up physical tickets at the will-call tables at the actual event.
In order to claim your physical ticket(s), you will need to bring a photo ID matching the name under which the tickets were purchased. If your name does not match the name on the purchase, the person who made the purchase will need to write directly to email@example.com from the original e-mail address in order to get the information changed.
If you have purchased advance SINGLE-DAY passes online, the will-call tables will give you a ticket that will allow you direct entry into the show.
If you have purchased advance WEEKEND passes online, the will-call tables will give you a wristband that will allow you direct entry into the show BOTH days.
ALL purchasers of advance ONLINE tickets will need to visit the will-call tables.
IF YOU HAVE PURCHASED ADVANCE PHYSICAL TICKETS:
You may get directly in line if your ticket is a SINGLE-DAY pass.
If you have purchased a WEEKEND pass, you will need to go to the will-call tables to exchange your ticket for a wristband.
Hand scanners at the event WILL NOT allow entry to WEEKEND pass holders. You MUST have a wristband.

Advance tickets are now on sale through Elite Comics. Contrary to a previous post, ALL forms of advance tickets will be sold at the store: full weekend, single day (Saturday or Sunday), and youth (ages 11-15). Again, children under the age of 10 get in free.
Advance tickets will be available for sale at Elite until Wednesday, March 20th. After that, they will ONLY be available at the door.

We knew you were excited. We just had no idea how excited. Advance tickets went on sale on Saturday, and the numbers don’t lie. With your help, we’re on track to make this the largest Planet Comicon ever!
Not only are we moving into a new facility that has twice the space, but we’ve got projects in the works that should have you talking about the show for months afterward. If you’ve not already gotten your advance tickets, you can purchase them at the link below. Weekend adult passes are selling at a discounted rate, but you can also get your single day or youth (ages 11-15) passes early as well.
Cut-off for the purchase of advance tickets will be Sunday, March 17th, so don’t delay.
Advance tickets for Planet Comicon 2013 are now available for sale. Please follow the link below in order to make your purchase.
Advance tickets will be sold until midnight on Sunday, March 17th. After that time, they will only be available for sale at the event.
Weekend passes for adults are being sold at a discounted rate of $35.00. All other prices will be identical to on-site pricing.
Advance tickets are available for sale ONLY through Paypal. Paypal accepts all major credit cards. If you do not already have a Paypal account set up, you will need to create one in order to make your purchase.
Advance tickets will ALSO be made available shortly through the event facility and local Kansas City area retailer(s).
Online advance tickets will be sold on a “will call” basis. You WILL NOT be sent a physical ticket. You WILL receive an e-mail confirmation. There will be a staffed will call window all weekend long at Bartle Hall for ticket collection. We are also looking at making available early pickup locations prior to the show.
All ticket sales are final. Refunds will occur only in the event of Planet Comicon’s cancellation, and Planet Comicon WILL NOT be cancelled. If your attendance is dependent upon a single guest, it may be wise for you to delay your purchase. Unexpected things–such as life–occur, and the show must go on!
Tickets will ALWAYS be available at the door.

All right. You’ve been incredibly patient with us in regard to tickets. For the most part. While we don’t yet have all the details ironed out in regard to the sale of advance tickets, we do have information in regard to ticket prices for Planet Comicon 2013. Those prices are as follows:
$25 for Saturday only
$20 for Sunday only
$40 for full weekend
Free for ages 10 and under
$10 for full weekend for ages 11 to 15
Children under 10 get in free
At this time, we are working toward securing a limited number of tickets for advance sale both through this website as well as in select Kansas City market locations. We will post all the details as soon as they are made available. As a reminder, all ticket sales are final, and tickets will always be available at the door on the dates of the show, April 6th and 7th.
