Comic book artist and writer Phil Hester’s credits include quite a variety of subjects, as well as talents. He has penciled comics including Swamp Thing, Brave New World, Flinch, Ultimate Marvel Team-Up, Clerks: The Lost Scene, The Crow: Waking Nightmares, The Wretch, Aliens: Purge, and Green Arrow.
During his run on Green Arrow, he created the characters Mia Dearden and Onomatopoeia with writer Kevin Smith as well as Constantine Drakon with writer Judd Winick. Hester co-created Uncle Slam and Firedog with his Green Arrow collaborator, artist Ande Parks.
Phil worked with Robert Kirkman on Marvel’s Irredeemable Ant-Man and has written The Black Terror for Dynamite Entertainment, based on plot ideas by Alex Ross, as part of the Project Superpowers Universe. He also wrote DC’s Wonder Woman, based on the notes and outline by J. Michael Straczynski, after Straczynski left the title.
Phil is now writing on projects with Image Comics, Invincible Universe, and IDW’s T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents and penciling DC Comics’ Adventures Of Superman.

Artist/Writer Ryan Browne, creator of 2013’s sensation GOD HATES ASTRONAUTS, is coming to Planet Comicon 2014. Ryan is co-creator and artist for Smoke and Mirrors for IDW, and artist on The Manhattan Projects from Image Comics. Currently, he is taking over as artist of Bedlam also published by Image Comics.

Comic book artist Brent Peeples started his professional career in 2009 drawing Grimm Fairy Tales for Zenscope. Since then Brent has worked on books for Image, Aspen, Arcana, Dark Horse and Discovery Channel. He is currently working on a new creator owned all ages series to hopefully be announced soon.

Kyle Strahm has been published by Todd McFarlane Productions, Image Comics, IDW, Dark Horse and others. He has worked on titles such as HAUNT, HACK/SLASH, AMORY WARS, and WE WILL BURY YOU.
Kyle is currently working with Justin Jordan on their new project, SPREAD (which could be described as Lone Wolf and Cub in a world eaten by John Carpenter’s The Thing), will have a release date in July , 2014.

Rob Schamberger is a painter and illustrator working in Kansas City. He has written and drawn multiple graphic novels, contributed illustrations for the Kansas City Star, and has had his work curated by various galleries.
Rob is currently painting every one of professional wrestling’s World Champions, nearly 230 paintings in all. Rob has recently finished a big commission project for Harley Race’s Wrestling Academy.

Mike Worley has done work ranging from Archie to Ren & Stimpy to The Simpsons to Marvel’s Midnight Sons. A caricature artist and storyboard artist, Mike’s talents are as diverse as his subject material. He has worked for Marvel, Image and Bongo Comics. Mike is currently studying animation.

Greg Rucka is the author of twenty novels, the latest of which, BRAVO, will be released this July, as well as more comic books than any sane person can count. In addition to critically acclaimed runs on such mainstream titles as Detective Comics, Wonder Woman, The Punisher, and Wolverine, he’s the creator of several series, including Queen & Country, Whiteout (with Steve Lieber), and Stumptown (with Matthew Southworth).
He currently writes the webcomic Lady Sabre & The Pirates of the Ineffable Aether, drawn by fellow guest Rick Burchett, and the comic Lazarus, from Image Comics, with co-creator Michael Lark.

Kansas City’s Blair Butler is returning to her hometown for Planet Comicon. You know her as a television host/producer, podcaster, stand-up comedian, and comic book writer. She provided the “Fresh Ink” segments on the G4 program, Attack of the Show! had on-screen and production roles on shows such as X-Play. As a multi-talent, Blair was the writer of Microsoft’s “Xbox @ E3 Live” coverage, has written the Image Comics series, Heart, and hosted the podcasts “Geekout” and “Fresh Ink”.
Blair even appeared on the cover of Booster Gold #23 published by DC Comics. She also likes zombies. A lot.

Artist Andrew Robinson has produced covers DC titles like Superman, Action, Batman and The Outsiders, and The Secret Six. He has also produced variant covers for IDW’s Angel After The Fall. Andrew is creator of Dusty Star published by Image Comics.
In 2013, Andrew, along with writer Vivek Tiwary and artist Kyle Baker, produced the original graphic novel, The Fifth Beatle, The Brian Epstein Story, a semi-biographical book about the original manager of The Beatles.

Artist Jeremy Haun will return for Planetcomicon in 2014. Jeremy has worked for Image Comics, IDW Publishing, Oni Press, Devil’s Due Publishing, Top Cow, Marvel Comics, and DC Comics. He is best known for his work on Berserker and Battle Hymn.
After a successful KickStarter campaign, Jeremy, along with co-creators Alex Grecian, B. Clay Moore, and Seth Peck, published their first deluxe, hard-cover graphic novel Bad Karma 01
