Fans will be able to meet these celebrities, obtain autographs and have their pictures taken with the celebrities.   We may post specific signing times for some guests, however most guests will be at their booth in the Exhibit Hall during most hours of the show except when attending their panel discussion or taking personal breaks.  Some guests will not remain at the show until close each day.

There will be fees for autographs, and the fee varies depending on the celebrity.  Fees range from $20 to $40, generally.  Celebrities will have items available to be signed (generally 8×10 photographs, but sometimes other items).  There may be an additional fee for this item, depending on the celebrity.  Celebrities will also sign items provided by the fans, though they have the option of not signing a particular item if they find it offensive or inappropriate.  Items often brought by fans to have signed include a favorite poster or picture, a toy, a t-shirt, a statue, or similar items.

Blair Butler does not charge a fee for her autograph or for pictures taken with her (unless you choose to use the professional photographer)

Fans are encouraged to bring cash as many of the celebrities do not accept any other form of payment.   Some will accept credit cards,… but do not count on it.

Fans are encouraged to bring a camera as celebrities will often, though not always, allow pictures at their booth.  Please ALWAYS ask the celebrity or their assistant for permission before taking a photograph of the celebrity!  Generally the fan may take a picture of the celebrity signing an item, and there will not be a fee for that photograph — generally.  Often the celebrity will pose with the fan at the table for a photo taken with the fan’s camera.  The celebrity may charge a fee for this photograph.  Some celebrities will only pose for a photograph with the fan when using the professional photographer who will have a booth set up near the celebrity guests.  There will be specific times listed at the event for this type of photo opportunity.  Fees for the professional photographs vary from $30 to $50.

Many celebrity guests will take part in a stage presentation in which the celebrity will discuss … well… whatever they wish…. but generally will talk about their career, tell some behind-the-scenes stories and often engage in a question and answer session.  These will take place in the Great Hall (also known as the 3501 Ballroom) just down own the hallway from the exhibit hall.

  1. Will Wheaton and George Takei in Kansas City at the same time , let’s see if we can get them to go out and shut down a bar that night !!! We will party like its Stardate 40759.5 !!!!!

  2. Will you be having photo ops with the media guests again?
If so, will the schedule of times be up again as it was last time?
    Thanks.

  3. Thanks for the answer, Justin. Appreciate it.

  4. does anyone know if the guests will be charging for autos?

  5. How do the autograph sessions work? Do we bring our own pictures for them to sign of them or do they have them for sell?

    • Most of the media guests will have their own photos, and they are included in the purchase price of the autograph. This does not preclude you bringing your own items to get signed, though there may be different prices for these items.

    • If it is anything like last year… the Guests had items for sale that got autographed if you bought it, however; it was the same price if you got an item you brought with you signed. Some guests prices were much higher than others. So plan accordingly!
With a few exceptions the guests were also happy to have a picture taken with you if you were getting an autograph as well.

With out fail all of the creators and artists had items for sale but would sign your items also. I was only charged for buying stuff not for autographs and they all agreed to have their pictures taken, as far as I could tell they really liked dealing with the fans of their work.

      • I think a couple of guests may charge an additional fee if you choose to have one of the 8×10 photos from the guest’s inventory autographed, however most guests include the 8×10 for free with purchase of an autograph.

  6. Any chance of a list of which celeb charges how much for photos/autographs?

    • Much of this has been discussed on the Facebook page, but there will not be a specific list published.

    • Some celebrities do not wish to have the prices published on the web-site, so that is the reason for no list at this time. We will check with each celebrity and see if we can post at least a partial list. Thank you for your inquiry.

  7. Is this the final lineup for the media guests or can we expect more to be announced?

  8. For Star Trek fans, meeting George Takei is like meeting one of the Beatles.
