First Planet Comicon was 2007. Had no idea what to expect, so it was a “boys only” trip (13 and 11 year old sons).
Saw David Prowse and Noel Neill. Highlight was getting original Ghost Rider layout pages by Javier Saltares.
Had so much fun that the wife and 4 year old daughter came in 2008. We’ve come as a family ever since and look forward to it. Traveling from Lincoln Nebraska, we’ve encountered plenty of rain, sleet, and snow.
My personal favorites have been meeting Walter Koenig and Gil Gerard. I’ve also filled up on Marvel Essentials and DC Showcases. –Jerod Blayney
